Kings out, Steven Seagal In
Unfortunately, due to an inability to pay the league fee before Sunday, the Kings and aNY Team are not eligible for the playoffs. Steven Seagal will take over the playoff spot. We will implement a much more strict payment policy for future leagues to avoid this problem. Any player that is on a team that has not paid in full is not eligible to play in future leagues until his previous team's balance is paid.

League Fees Due in full next week in order to play
It has been getting a little bit ridiculous with the league fees. The fees were supposed to be due week 1. We officially CANNOT afford to play next week unless league fees are in. Your team will not be able to play starting next week if your team hasn't been fully paid before the game. A forfeit will be awarded. We have no other options. Pay your league fees!

LEAGUE FEES ARE OVERDUE
We officially will not be able to operate unless league fees are in. Pay your fees, they are long overdue. Nonpayment will result in disqualification of the teams involved with no refund. Honor your commitments.

League Conduct Rules
Just as in the NBA, STAT League will more strictly enforce its conduct policy in games. This will include excessive complaints in game to all officials including but not limited to referees and scorers. Complaining downgrades everybody's experience and participants should use good judgment to determine proper reactions.

Lateness Rules
The gym will be open at 7:30 AM with the first game to promptly begin at 8:00. For a team unable to field at least 4 players, we will be enforcing a 5-point penalty for every 5 minutes until 15 minutes. At 15 minutes in which the game is forfeited and the team unable to field the players is given a 30 point loss. We cannnot have a repeat of last week as we need to be out of the gym by noon. Note the rule goes for all games, not just the 8:00. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Why STAT League?
Still on the fringe about joining the league? Don't be. Here's why:
- For $1200 all referee fees are included for the regular season and playoffs - no scrambling for money every week for the annoying fees. Plus at $1200, its on par with every unorganized league you've ever played on
- Full statistical recording - That's right, we're keeping all the stats for you, (Points, rebounds, steals, assists, blocks, 3PG, FT%) so you could compare yourself with your peers. Oh yeah, we have a website, updated on THE SAME DAY so you'll know where you stand
- Custom reversible jerseys - You don't play the 'Blue team,' you play The Situation. Your team carries a personality, wear it on your chest. And you want your number? Your colors? Finally there's a league that lets you have it.
- All-Star Game - Set a goal to be an All-Star at season's end. Walk around in your custom T and let everybody know you've been noticed.
- Updated Website - A website easily viewable so that you can see your schedule weeks in advance and plan for it. No last minute changes, no BS. Also league pictures and stats as well as some other goodies for your viewing pleasure.
- No playoff guarantees - Not every team will make the playoffs. In fact 30% of the league will be cut out. So every game counts.
- Awards - MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, All-Star MVP, Playoff MVP... you name it.
- Charity 3-Point Shootout - All-Star Weekend includes a 3-Point Shootout with proceeds going to a charity TBA.
- No more BS - Listen, we've all played in these leagues before. We've all been frustrated or annoyed by one stupid rule or another implemented by non-basketball people. Not here. This league is run by 5 basketball players as well as every team captain. You own the league too. Now let's make it a good one!
Message to all Team Captains: Get your logo and colors in ASAP
Logo and colors need to get in as welll as uniform deposits, sizes and numbers if you haven't already done so. Email me at statleagueny@gmail.com
