11:30 - Old Spice vs Trojan Men
After an impressive week 1 victory over Steven Seagal, the newly revamped Trojan Men have a true test in front of them in last year’s champs Old Spice. It’s the two-headed monster of Kevin LaTourette and James Parese against MVP John Moody and the big front line of Old Spice who outrebounded The Situation last week 40-26. Can the smaller Trojan Men outgun the bigger Old Spice like nobody has done since SiC defeated Old Spice in their 2nd game? Dating back to last season nobody has proved they could stop either John Moody or James Parese so when the two are matched up it should make for an interesting show.
12:30 - The Situation vs The Knicks
The Situation fresh off a close loss to Old Spice takes on the Knicks who bring back last year’s MVP runner up Joe Mujalli, who is sure to have revenge on his mind after 2 close losses to the Situation. Gone are Jason Beltran and Vladimir Kryshtal, who went to Steven Seagal, in are John Smith Kevin Kroger and Tyshon Adams. The Situation boasts a big front line, although this week it will be depleted as they will be without Matt Padilla and Jordan Paderon. Dave Naringi’s defense in the blocks could be a major factor in the game. Newcomer Daniel Auguste proved he belonged as he is 3rd in the league in scoring with 17 ppg, and he could assist defensive stopper Mark Clemmons in guarding Joe Mujalli.
1:30 - House Team vs Chico's
A battle of 2 newcomers, and we have little information since both teams had tough week 1 matchups. The House team should be reloaded as they add some missing pieces. Nicholas Sanchez carried the scoring and rebounding load last week for the House Team and looks to continue it against Chico’s. Chico’s Rich Ferrara helped settle the ball handling issues in the beginning of the game last week, but much of those troubles could have been attributed to the Retired Ballers defense. The House team proved they could score last week but can they stop yet another bigger team? Both teams are out to show the league that their week 1 blowout losses were a fluke, who will come out on top?
2:30- SiC vs Steven Seagal
SiC is coming off an impressive 25 point win over the House team and Steven Seagal is coming off of a close loss to the Trojan Men. Steven Seagal has twice proved that they could beat SiC, taking both contests last season, but SiC returned with a little more size this season, adding 6’5 center Jason Valera. Steven Seagal added defensive stopper Vlad Kryshtal and swingman Jason Beltran, completing a team they have competed with for years. Much of this game is going to come down to Jeremy Apostol and Henry Martinez who carry the statistical load for both of their teams. Apostol had a 8pt, 8 reb, 6 ast game in last week’s win, and Martinez had 14 pts, 11 reb, but never really looked comfortable against the big guards of the Trojan Men.
